FLCL: Grunge will be directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo (Appleseed XIII) and produced by MontBlanc Pictures, with FLCL: Shoegaze directed by Yukata Uemura (FLCL Alternative) and co-produced by Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass) and Studio NUT (FLCL Alternative, Deca-Dence). Both series are set to air sometime in 2023, according to Toonami creative director Jason DeMarco.
Oh and if you weren’t a fan of FLCL: Progressive or Alternative, I’d say give ‘em another try. lol. But I’d also say, these will definitely be their own takes on the material. And they’ve been created by passionate teams with something to say. I hope you enjoy them!
