As previously reported, Triple H did his first public interview regarding his health problems that have kept him away from his day-to-day duties in WWE with Stephen A Smith today. The full interview will air tonight on ESPN+, but excerpts from it aired this morning on First Take.
Triple H suffered a cardiac event last September. He noted in the interview that he was struggling with viral pneumonia and at risk for heart failure. He ruled out ever wrestling again because he has a defibrillator in his heart now.
His last match came in 2019 while in Japan where he teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura against Robert Roode & Samoa Joe. His last match that was televised came against Randy Orton that same year at WWE Super ShowDown
