Sonya Deville returned to WWE television back in January of 2020 in a non-wrestling role only. Deville appeared regularly on WWE RAW and Friday Night Smackdown alongside Adam Pearce as a WWE official. Deville owes a lot to The Miz as far as her presentation is concerned.
Sonya Deville has not competed in the ring much after SummerSlam back in 2020, where she lost a ‘loser leaves WWE match’ to Mandy Rose. When she is not wrestling, Sonya Deville is dressed to the nines and has an air of confidence around her that was not there before.
While speaking to Superstar Crossover, Sonya Deville talked about her current run in WWE. Deville revealed that The Miz influenced her in a huge way when it comes to her overall presentation.
“I am big on what you wear, and your physical is like your representation. So go out there how you want to be perceived. Like, I am not going to be one that goes out in sweatpants ever, that’s just not my vibe. I like to go out and kill it to the nines and have everything on point.
Because at the very least, if you’re on TV for 30 seconds and you don’t have much going on in that moment, they’re going to remember you looking like a superstar. I learned that from people like Miz. Miz always looks the part, he always dresses the part, and I think that consistency and that extra effort subconsciously resonates with the fans. Like, ‘oh, they’re a big deal.”
Sonya Deville lost to Ronda Rousey and Naomi at WWE Elimination Chamber last month. Since then she has been involved in Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey’s feud as we approach WrestleMania 38 and that might not change anytime soon.
