For the past few years, Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury have been pushing to have a wrestling match against each other.
WWE wanted to have the two stars wrestle for the WWE Title in the main event of a UK pay-per-view in 2020 as WWE talked to both men about the idea, but the COVID-19 pandemic nixed those plans.
While speaking with Metro UK, McIntyre noted that he will not stop talking about the match until it happens.
“The only way we’re gonna make this thing happen is with McIntyre and Fury. I will not shut up about it until he frickin’ happens. Trust me, nobody is waiting for it more than me! I’ve been talking about it for years but people started listening to me finally over the past two! I got the [WWE Title], so I could finally get people to listen to me.”
WrestleVotes reported earlier this week that WWE will hold a PPV event in the UK on Saturday, September 3rd at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. It’s possible this is where McIntyre vs. Fury could take place.
