Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge took to Twitter to confirm that the iconic animated duo will officially be returning this year in the form of a brand new movie for Paramount+. In his post, he also shared concept art from the upcoming project, providing us with our first glimpse at the middle-aged versions of the titular slackers. Further details about the film haven’t been revealed yet, but Judge teased fans that they should expect more projects to come.

Judge’s confirmation about the Beavis and the Butt-Head film comes after over a year since Comedy Central has given a two-season order to a revival of the classic adult-animated series, which ended its seven-season run in 1997. The reimagined Beavis and Butt-Head will be entering a whole new Gen Z world and is set to feature meta-themes that will be relatable to both new and old fans: Gen X parents and their Gen Z kids.

The original Beavis and Butt-Head ran on-air for seven seasons from 1993-1997 on MTV. A theatrical film, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, was released in 1996 and featured Demi Moore and Bruce Willis.
