WWE is teasing the split of yet another duo.

During the opening segment on WWE Monday Night Raw, Bobby Lashley told Big E that he doesn’t need MVP to fight his battles and he suggested that MVP should face WWE Champion Big E in a match.

Seth Rollins attacked Lashley around the ringside area but Big E made the save and both Lashley and Big E worked together to fend off Rollins and Kevin Owens.

Later in the show during a backstage segment, MVP seemed to question Lashley’s motives and wondered if what Lashley said other was just part of a plan. The segment was laid out to get fans wondering if Lashley was going to turn face and ditch his manager/associate.

The main event worked out well for the babyfaces as Lashley and Big E beat Rollins and Owens after Lashley pinned Owens but there was some trouble between them after Lashley accidentally took out E before the end of the match. There appeared to be a miscue when Lashley pinned Owens because it looked like Rollins was supposed to break up the cover and there looked to be some confusion at the conclusion of the match. Lashley could be heard saying “my ribs” so it’s unclear if that was the planned finish or if there was a miscue because Lashley was hurt.

There was a post-match attack and Lashley was laid out by the heels after Rollins stomped Lashley’s head into the steel steps. MVP was nowhere to be seen during the match and during the post-match attack.
