Kingsman 3 has been in development since 2018 following the theatrical release of The Golden Circle. Before Taron Egerton’s third Kingsman film, 20th Century Studios will finally be debuting the prequel film The King’s Man in theaters on December 22.

In a previous interview, Vaughn revealed that the upcoming prequel will indeed be setting up the events that will happen in the third chapter. “We’ve put seeds for what’s going to happen in Kingsman 3 all the way back into this,” Vaughn revealed. “And it’s going to be very different.”
