Nowadays in WWE, most Superstars are handed a script that they have to remember and speak as part of their promos. A large section of the WWE Universe criticize scripted promos as they feel it restricts WWE Superstars.

WWE promos were also criticized for having too many unnecessary words. On the other hand, AEW doesn’t have any restrictions in their promos.

As seen on a previous week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk and MJF engaged in a war of words that saw CM Punk referencing the likes of The Miz and Triple H and others. It received a lot of praise from fans and pro wrestlers alike. Even after that, the two continued to trade barbs on every single show.

While speaking on the latest edition of his podcast, the Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette said that WWE should be ashamed of their boring and choreographed promos while mentioning CM Punk’s recent promo battle with MJF.

“There legitimately has not been any segment that WWE has produced this year that was anywhere near as good as the Punk segment and the few others we have praised to the heavens because it looks like it belongs on a wrestling show and somebody did not script it. That is exactly what they need, that’s why the WWE is boring and losing all their viewers because they are so contrived and choreographed and manipulated and orchestrated and lacking any kind of urgency, and someone comes likes this and blows them all away. They really should be ashamed of themselves.”

Bully Ray also believes that MJF could verbally eviscerate CM Punk. We will have to wait and see how AEW will book CM Punk and MJF’s feud in the coming weeks as it continues to intensify every week.
