After launching in Japan earlier this year, Child of Kamiari Month officially has a worldwide release date, as it will land on Netflix next year.

The film is set to release on February 8, 2022, on the streaming platform, with the news being revealed alongside a new trailer for the film. You can check out the new Child of Kamiari Month trailer below:
Alongside the trailer and release date, new art for the film was also released, showcasing various characters from the film as well as the release date. Child of Kamiari Month will be directed by Takana Shirai, with animation producer Tetsuro Satomi attached as producer. Tomomo Mochizuki provides storyboards for the film, and Haruka Sagawa acts as character designer.

“This is a story of a 12-year-old girl, Kanna, born as a descendant of the Gods,” reads the official synopsis. “Her family has a mission to deliver offerings from all over Japan to the Gods’ gathering in Izumo. Although Kanna’s mother was to complete the mission, her passing prompted Kanna to finish the task, hoping she could reunite with her dead mother in the Gods’ land at the end of her journey.”
