The legendary Mick Foley needs no introduction to true blue wrestling fans out there. He put in his dues big time during quite the pro wrestling career. He was labeled a hardcore legend, but really his legacy speaks volumes more than that.

The recent releases seem to have had quite the effect on him, as the gentleman actually tweeted a short but expressive statement about just how the recent crop of releases made him feel.

“This wave of @WWE cuts hurts my heart.”

A simple statement, but for fans of Mick’s, it certainly speaks volumes. Foley made quite the bold statement in a video he posted that trended a few months back, where he suggested that WWE was having serious problems they needed to perhaps work on. He also essentially stated that WWE was no longer the place for talented wrestlers to practice their craft and be paid handsomely for doing it.

Well, as it would turn out, he seemed to have known what was coming even then, as things have gotten nothing but worse despite his warning to the company he himself worked so hard for.

Mick is known for his sensitivity and his caring, his big heart and for being a truly nice guy. He has authored many books, among them Have a Nice Day!: A Tale of Blood and Sweatsocks, Saint Mick: My Journey From Hardcore Legend to Santa’s Jolly Elf, Tietam Brown (fiction), and many others. He wrestled from 1983 to 2012.
