Lance Archer hasn’t worked a match since AEW Dynamite last month when wrestled Eddie Kingston. During it, Archer attempted a moonsault off the top rope but ended up landing on his head.
It was reported on Saturday that Archer is out of action with a concussion. AEW President Tony Khan stated during the AEW Full Gear post-show scrum that Archer is out with a neck injury.
“He’s here, he’s good, and thankfully, he came out of it good. It was a neck injury, not a head injury. He cleared all the impact testing, concussion, all the stuff over the last several weeks. They determined he twisted his neck, but he’s good.”
Regarding an in-ring return, Khan stated, “I’m not exactly sure. I don’t want to rush. We have so many great stars. Lance is a really important wrestler for us and has hit on so many great things for us.”
Khan doesn’t have an exact return date for Archer, but he doesn’t see a point to rush somebody back with a neck injury.
