The seemingly harmless phrase “Let’s Go Brandon” has gained quite a bit of notoriety recently. Earlier this month, NBC reporter Kelli Stavast was interviewing NASCAR racer Brandon Brown, when the crowd began chanting “F**k Joe Biden.”
In an attempt to control the situation, Stavast claimed claimed that the crowd was chanting “Let’s go, Brandon.” It seems that the phrase has now become a covert way of mocking President Biden.
The most recent user of the phrase is none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin, who retweeted a “Let’s Go Brandon” music video to his audience of nearly five million followers. It seems that everybody noticed.
The music video in question was set to a song produced by rapper Bryson Gray and political activist Chandler Crump. Interestingly, the song was removed from YouTube for containing “medical misinformation.”
The video was originally shared by Benny Johnson, a creative officer for conservative think tank, Turning Point USA. Fans, however, do not seem to be happy about Austin retweeting the video.
“Disappointed. It totally makes sense for an old guy from Texas but I’m still disappointed,” one fan said. “Damn this is a bummer,” another commented.
