Funimation has announced that Platinum End, the new anime series from the creators of Death Note, will be coming to the streaming service as part of the fall 2021 season. The anime is, of course, based on the manga of the same name created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, which first debuted in November 2015.

The anime is being produced by Signal.MD, best known for its work on FLCL Progressive and Napping Princess. Meanwhile, Kazuchika Kise is directing, who’s worked on massive productions like Ghost in the Shell, Your Name, and Made in Abyss.

Funimation has also detailed some of the voice cast, which you can see below.

  • Miyu Irino (Mob Psycho 100, Seraph of the End) as Mirai
  • Mao Ichimichi a.k.a. M·A·O (Fire Force, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) as Saki
  • Yui Ogura (GOBLIN SLAYER, Hugtto! Precure) as Nasse
  • Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, ODDTAXI) as Revel

As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness,” says the official synopsis. “But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel. Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world. Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive.”
