Don’t expect to see Bryan Danielson leading the “YES” chants in AEW.
Bryan Danielson did an interview with ‘Rasslin with Brandon F. Walker’ and he said that he might lead the fans towards doing the chants but he will not actually be doing them. You may have noticed at AEW All Out that Danielson did not do the “YES” gesture but he nodded his head along with the fans as they did the chant.
Danielson said during the interview that he wants to respect WWE’s intellectual property and that is why he won’t lead the chants.
Danielson said, “So I had a great conversation with Kevin Dunn with WWE before I debuted with AEW. I was very upfront with WWE about, ‘Okay, I want to let you guys know I’m leaving. This is my debut date’ and all that kind of stuff. They asked me, politely, to respect their intellectual property, even some of the things that couldn’t be legally enforced. I’m trying my best to do that.”
In theory, Danielson could try to challenge WWE on the chant belonging to them since he has said that he took it from former UFC star Diego Sanchez and Sanchez took it from motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
Danielson has been very complimentary of WWE since he left them and he has stated that it was a very difficult decision to leave. Danielson is set to face Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in what he calls the biggest match of his life.
