Tons of script changes, Kevin Dunn arrives, and “weird” atmosphere backstage at WWE NXT 2.0

PWInsider is reporting that Kevin Dunn is backstage to oversee tonight’s NXT 2.0 relaunch. It was reported a couple of weeks ago by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez that Dunn and Vince McMahon would be overseeing the big picture things with the brand.

WWE has updated their NXT graphics and everything is being referenced as “NXT 2.0” going forward.

PWI added that Paul “Triple H” Levesque is not backstage, which is understandable after his recent health issues.

Also, Samoa Joe is not backstage. During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez said that he heard from people in WWE who believed that Joe is not actually injured and his absence may just be storyline related. WWE is advertising that a new champion will be crowned tonight.

PWInsider also reported today that the atmosphere backstage was described as “weird” and that the show script has changed a “ton” of times throughout the day. That sounds a lot like a usual day backstage at Raw and SmackDown.
