According to a recent announcement by the company in the latest issue of Weekly Jump (via Gematsu), Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will receive three free updates after it launches, all of which will add two new characters into the game, totaling six additional characters. Currently, it’s unclear just which characters will be getting added into the game, but the news is sure to be good for fans anxious for this anime title.

This isn’t the first time that CyberConnect2 and publisher Aniplex have teased new characters, as they have previously announced that playable demons would be coming into the game via other post-launch updates. It’s unknown at the moment whether or not the demons are included in the six characters, or whether all six characters added will be demons.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles will also include a Versus Mode which allows you and another person to go toe-to-toe locally or online. Several characters have already been revealed including Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Shinobu Kocho, and Sakonji.
