Queen Latifah Keeps Everyone Safe in The Equalizer Season 2 Trailer 

CBS has debuted the official trailer for the upcoming second season of the hit crime drama series The Equalizer, starring Oscar nominee Queen Latifah as Robyn McCall. The series is scheduled to make its return on Sunday, October 10.

The Equalizer Season 2 trailer, which you can check out below, teases McCall’s latest mission as she gets enlisted to track down bank robbers, who’ve killed lots of innocent people in their last heist. It also continues to highlight her determination to save and protect everyone from bad guys.

The Equalizer reboot hails from creators and showrunners, Andrew Marlow and Terri Millier. It stars Queen Latifah, Lorraine Toussaint, Tory Kittles, Chris Noth, Adam Goldberg, Liza Lapira, and Laya DeLeon Hayes.

“Robyn McCall (Latifah), an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background, uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn,” reads the synopsis. “McCall comes across to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trusted few, she is “The Equalizer” — an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption.”

The Equalizer is executive produced by Latifah, Marlowe, Miller, and Martin Chase Productions’ Debra Martin Chase along with original series creator Richard Lindheim and Shakim Compere of Flavor Unit. It is a production of Universal Television and CBS TV Studios with John Davis and John Fox of Davis Entertainment also set as executive producers.

The original series was created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim which ran on air for four seasons from 1985-1989 on the CBS network. It starred late English actor Edward Woodward, who portrayed the role of retired intelligence agent Robert McCall. It was then adapted into two films starring Oscar winner Denzel Washington which had both gross more than $190 million worldwide.
