Jim Ross Says Life Couldn’t Be Much Better After CM Punk’s AEW Debut

CM Punk made his All Elite Wrestling debut on last month’s AEW Rampage: The First Dance, a move that elevated the status of the company to the next level. Tony Schiavone considered it the greatest debut in pro wrestling history. which others might not agree with.

Punk himself absolutely loved his AEW debut and he has singlehandedly became the most talked-about pro wrestler on the planet right now, which certainly made Mick Foley happy.

The Second City Saint also made it clear that his passion for pro wrestling was reignited for so many years and he is here to help elevate the company even more.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross talked about the effect CM Punk had on AEW and on himself, as he stated that life couldn’t be much better thanks to Punk re-energizing his love for pro wrestling.

“I told him that night in Chicago, not that I was phoning anything in, I wasn’t. But the emotional side that you can’t taste, feel, or touch returned in a big, big time way. I got the best job in the world. I’m in the business that I love. I want to do this as long as I can. I don’t know how long that is, but until I or somebody including me decides I’ve had enough, then I’m going to keep doing it. I couldn’t have that feeling with half a house, or three, or four hundred people, or an empty audience in Daily’s Place. Life is good. I don’t know it could be much better.”

We will have to wait and see just how instrumental CM Punk will be in the years to come as far as AEW’s success is concerned.
