During an interview on Busted Open Radio, Franky Monet gave her thoughts about the ‘New NXT’:
“I feel like it’s really cool and interesting to be here during this whole transformation. At first, people are worried or scared. Fans don’t like change. We all know that, so everyone’s a little apprehensive, but I think that everything in sports entertainment as performers, as a brand, as a company, we all need to have a sense of evolution. I feel like this is the natural evolution for NXT.
You’re still going to see the same types of matches, the same grit, and the same rawness. You’re going to see people going out there every single week giving it everything they have to prove themselves on this platform, just with a little bit more of a colorful logo. I’ve never shied from colors, so I’m excited. I think it’s going to be a really nice, refreshing change, and I’m excited to hear what everybody has to think about tomorrow’s brand new episode.”
The new NXT, or NXT 2.0, will premiere tomorrow night at 8 pm eastern on the USA Network. There has been talk of a brand new set with brighter colors and an overhaul of the entire presentation of the show. Vince McMahon is reportedly looking to push younger wrestlers so expect to see some fresh faces pop up in the coming weeks.
