CM Punk has always been clear about his feelings about Hulk Hogan and he made himself clear again this week while doing the media rounds to promote tonight’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.

During an interview on “Rasslin with Brandon F. Walker,” Punk walked about the biggest draws in pro wrestling and he mentioned Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Punk said that you can make the argument that “Hulk Hogan is a bigger star than Steve Austin but then you look at business periods and eras and box office receipts and all that other stuff. I think Hogan’s a piece of shit so obviously, I’m gonna be like Steve Austin, yay. But that’s another podcast.”

A fan on Twitter commented on the video and claimed that Punk “pretty much” copied Hulk’s match style for his match with Darby Allin.

Punk responded with a Hogan-esque tweet: “Brother, just tune in tonight. Just got off the phone with Arthur Ashe and he’s excited to host us tonight. Gonna party with Belushi in nyc after I slam Baba. Hope I don’t tear anything in my back. Metallica.”

Punk will appear live tonight on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam to promote his match with Powerhouse Hobbs. Punk will face Hobbs this Friday night on Rampage: Grand Slam, a two-hour episode that will be taped tonight after Dynamite.
