Bobby Fish Heading To Major League Wrestling

WWE’s mass releases from the NXT roster has caused a reckoning in the indies. While some of the more desirable superstars head off to AEW, others choose the promotions which are more suited to their needs.

Bobby Fish was also released from WWE after his contract was ended on August 6th. The former NXT superstar has revealed that he’ll be heading off to Major League Wrestling. He told Sports Illustrated:

I’m ready to jump in headfirst into MLW, especially with the Opera Cup. I welcome this new challenge. I’m in a situation now where I have extra room for creativity with what you see in the ring. That’s what I’m here to push. MLW has some very talented athletes, and I’m excited to see how we mix it up.

Fish stated that he is now more focused on his future. He is still grateful for his time at NXT, and said that there were many positives to being at NXT. He recalled his time at NXT where he was a part of the The Undisputed Era.

There were so many positives from time in NXT, and I was able to accomplish that with three of my best friends in the industry. It’s really humbling to think of all we did, and to experience that with them was very special. As for right now, having an extra chip on my shoulder now isn’t necessarily a bad thing for me at all.

The 45-year old is known to be a specialist when it comes to tag-teams. However, Fish plans to have a singles’ run where he will compete and getting the Opera Cup is what he plans to do. He’ll debut on MLW Opera Cup Tournament, which is on October 2.
