Kurt Angle’s final opponent was Baron Corbin, and fans still argue about this decision. Many would have rather seen John Cena retire Angle, and the Olympic Hero might be of that mindset. Following that WrestleMania match, Angle went away and Corbin stayed to figure out what was next for him.

While speaking to the UK media during their tour, Corbin told GiveMeSport that he feels as though WWE kind of dropped the ball with him after such a big moment as he beat Kurt Angle in his retirement match.

“I wish we would have [done more], I wish we would have really capitalized on the momentum that gave me, because that’s an incredible opportunity. When you look at the guy, and not just what he’s accomplished in WWE, but what he’s accomplished in life, for him to step out.”

Baron Corbin is now “Happy Corbin,” a man who lost it all and won it back through gambling. Now we will have to see what is next for the former Lone Wolf as he enjoys his wealth once again.

If anything, WWE was able to eventually figure out something for Corbin to do, even though there was a period of time when he seemed to flounder after such a career-defining WrestleMania match.
