AEW has a lot of talent on their roster and space might become an issue eventually. The company will still lock people into deals when they want to keep them around. Tony Khan’s organization has now confirmed another signing.
The company sent out a press release today to announce the signing of Satnam Singh. He will soon start his training at the Nightmare Factory. The 7’3″ former NBA player obviously has a lot of work to do and he’s very hard not to notice him.
All Elite Wrestling (AEW) today announced the signing of Satnam Singh, an international phenom best known as the first-ever player from India to be drafted by the National Basketball Association. The 7’3” Singh was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2015, and now brings his natural athleticism, charisma and daunting stature to AEW.
Singh follows in the footsteps of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, who squared off alongside Jade Cargill in a mixed tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet on “AEW: Dynamite” in March. Singh will begin training at the world-class, Atlanta-based Nightmare Factory, run by QT Marshall and Cody Rhodes.
The former Dallas Mavericks Center will now start applying himself to another sports passion. It might be quite a wait before fans see Singh on television, but the Nightmare Factory will give him plenty of tools that he needs to succeed.
AEW doesn’t have an NXT developmental territory. Tony Khan made a point in the past to say that they use AEW Dark and AEW Dark Elevation as their developmental territory. They also have a school they can utilize and Singh will start learning the ropes very soon.
